Sam: Sam is Lucy’s father and he loves the Beatles. He named his daughter after "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" has learned most of life’s lessons from Beatles songs. He is an autistic person. Despite his disabilities, Sam manages to raise his baby daughter Lucy with the help of his friend Annie.
Lucy Dawson: She is the Sam’s daughter and she is aware of his father’s oddness. She asks him why he isn’t quite like other people. She is a bright kid and her mother disappeared right after giving birth. So, Sam has to do his best to cope although sometimes Lucy accompanies him.
Sam’s friends: They, four disabled adult men, love Lucy and the little group takes care of Lucy in their own funny, endearing way. Annie is also one of Sam’s friends. She is a reclusive piano teacher and helps to Sam when he raises Lucy.
